A Taste of Freedom by Reel Mountain Pictures won First Runner Up!
Empower Women Media (EWM) and the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation (RFBF) are pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 Religious Freedom Film Competition. The goal of the competition is to challenge filmmakers around the world to produce short films that showcase how religious freedom leads to innovation and thriving communities. The winning films are screened among world-class business and NGO leaders to help advance freedom of belief (Article 18) and women’s empowerment worldwide. We believe these films can help shift attitudes for religious freedom, women’s rights and peace building worldwide.
Synopsis
After a traumatic event in the Middle East a young Muslim woman escapes her life of control to pursue freedom. She met the love of her life and now lives in France, married to Francois, a French chef. They are building a restaurant together.
